My favorite go-to blue. Love the color. Wet ink and works well in my pens. Slow dry time so be careful with your hands, arms, etc. keeps the blue intensity from wet to dry.

The color is gorgeous and solid. Very wet ink...was a little too wet for my flex nib, but will work very smooth on one of my scratchier nibs. Looking forward to using it all!

I recently overhauled my MB149 and cleaned up other too-long unused fountain pens, and experimented with Goulet ink samples, looking for a Blue ink (not blue/black) with character yet not too much personality for professional use.Diamine Sargasso Sea is perfect. It flows well in my MB149 and Pelikan 200, dries fast enough to avoid smearing in everyday use, and gives me a dark blue with presence. What a surprising ink this is! I bought it because I liked the color and Diamine has always been a good ink in all of my pens. I wasn't expecting the red sheen that appeared so that was a huge bonus! I've not had any issues with skipping or nib creep. I've only used it in two of my pens, my Lamy LX broad and a Pilot Metro 1.0 stub, and it's behaved well in both. I've used it on Tomoe River, Rhodia and Apica with no bleed through or feather issues. However, if you're looking for a fast drying ink, this isn't it. Otherwise, it's a fantastic blue.

Beautiful, vibrant color. Used with a glass dip and a Vulcan's Coral Noodlers Flex, was lovely both times. No issues with either. I am definitely please with this purchase.
