Visconti presents the 7th edition of the Il Magnifico collection, the Calacatta Gold. The elegant white and gold nuances of the precious Italian Calacatta Macchia Oro marble, is a rare and expensive elegant white Carrara marble with gold veins quarried in the Apuan Alps. This edition features:

- Yellow gold plated brass trim finely engraved with the famous Florentine Lily

Calacatta marbles have been reserved throughout history for only the most prestigious projects and art works, such as those by Michelangelo and Donatello. It is synonymous with luxury, elegance and sophistication. In fact, its prestige is due to both its quality and rarity: its production in Carrara is limited and controlled as are all the finest products of Italy.
The Il Magnifico collection, dedicated to Lorenzo de Medici, celebrates the most powerful and enthusiastic patron of Renaissance culture in Italy during his reign as ruler of the Florentine Republic. As a patron of the arts, he is best known for his sponsorship of artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo who along with other great Renaissance artists created outstanding works of both art and science by exploring nature and precious materials.
The il Magnifico Calacatta Gold fountain pen features Visconti's famous power filling system and hook safe lock and is presented in a custom Il Magnifico limited edition box to match the pen. The collection is limited to 188 pieces worldwide.
