Works great. It's nice to have a thicker nib for inks that have shading properties.

CURSIVE Nib

So glad that Lamy has designed a pen that can be customized! I'm not a medium or broad nib kinda guy. I like my fine and extra fine nibs. This is a steel nib so not much flex or line variation. Still, makes the pen a capable daily carry. Recommend.

Simple to remove and install--reveals a hidden versatility to the Safari and AL-star pens.

Got this for a back up. My favorite paper to use is a deckle paper just because it has that old fashion look and feel. It's pretty rough so I went with an extra nib just in case, always have a backup or two ready. That's always been my motto.
