my favorite type of notebook

I love Leuchtturm 1917 notebooks and use them for my Bullet Journal each year. I like the dot grid best and this is a very nice color.

Great Notebook

Started Bullet Journaling in 2019 and went with a 3pack of cheaper paperback notebooks. Paper was not fountain pen friendly, so when it came time for a new notebook I went with the Leuchtturm A5 dot grid notebook. Well made and the paper is very friendly to fountain pens. Have used Namiki Blue, Herbin Vert Amazone, and Noodler's Habanero and no bleedthru. Really enjoying this notebook and would definitely recommend!

Love my Leuchtterm

I've been a fan of the L1917 for a few years now -- love the smooth paper, the numbered pages, the number of pages, the range of colors. The Pacific Green is beautiful. I get some ghosting, some bleed through with a couple of the inks I use, but most of my inks are just fine on this paper. Great product and I definitely recommend!!

Nice note book

As a lefty I've always been afraid to try 'fancy' pens with separate ink and such. Since giving it a try I'm thrilled! The ink dries quickly on the page with no bleed through and no smudging/staining my hand! I can write or sketch in this book or do what ever i want and the ink i chose is the same colour as the note book its self. Its small enough i can take it where ever with me but large enough to be easy to write in.

Amazing notebook with tiny problems

I love Leuchtturm notebooks. I've been using them almost exclusively since 2012, and for bullet journaling since 2014. My Pacific Green notebook is Bujo #11 and Leuchtturm #8. The color is gorgeous, the paper quality great, the notebook quality great, yadda yadda. It meets all Leuchtturm standards set before and it's a great notebook.HOWEVER. This is my first "redesigned" Leuchtturm. Sometime in the last year or so, Leuchtturm changed the notebook design slightly; the shape and size are the same, but the page designs are slightly different. The font is now sans-serif and very crisp/modern - no complaints there. Where I do have complaint is in two specific areas - page layout and index. They cleaned up the margins in the dot grid notebooks, so now they look very nice and have a solid 7-8mm white space around the page. The drawback is that we lost a row. They used to have 38 rows of writing space (39 rows of dots), and we're now down to 37 rows of writing space. Devastating? No. But a lost of writing space nonetheless.Next up is the index. The index used to be 3 pages - right spread half, then a full spread. Now it's simply a spread - 2 pages. Granted, they condensed it down a bit, so there are more lines per page, but it's still less than before. And the page that used to be the first in the index (the right half of the spread) is now blank. I'm not sure why they couldn't just... print another index page there. I'm about 50 pages into the notebook now and have used 1/3 of the index. I'm going to be in trouble.Overall, the notebook is still great. I'm not really fussed about the loss of a row - but if you bullet journal like me, be warned it has changed from before. However, the shortening of the index is disappointing and I wish Leuchtturm would fix this. In the age of bullet journaling, we need LONGER indexes, not shorter ones.
