Diamine Syrah is a beautiful purply red color. The ink is smooth writing and wet.
I'm a fan of Diamine Oxblood and wanted a similar performing but slightly more burgundy color-this checks all the boxes for me. These inks are such a great value!
Like Mr. Brown ,I have certain ink colors I prefer. Drew Brown; brown ink. James Paterson, red hair...red ink color. Thank you for your websites!!! I love the Diamine Syrah ink color. It is a deep dark burgundy color. With alot of intencity. The photos I show... Are with a Diamine Duragraph w/ a broad nib and a Moonman New Moon pen w/ aMoonman nib. Very wet, slow dry with the broad nib although quick dry (5sec) with the moonman nib. F? Ef? I prefer a fine or ef nib. I've got stuff to learn with a broader nib. I have a flex nibb in my entourage of pens and one flex on the way.. Good talk, James
It was a much lighter shade than anticipated and that was a bit disappointing.
No bad experiences with Diamine as of yet and Syrah does not disappoint. Its a rich dark red color. It does not pop on the paper, but adds personality with a smooth shade. I've had people describe the color as red wine which seems accurate to me as well.
