Bottom Shelf: This pen has been gently used, but is otherwise in great shape. While every effort to clean these pens is made, you might see residual ink or water, as they are not brand new. All Bottom Shelf sales are final.

This TWSBI Kai fountain pen is made of a dark blue flecked acrylic resin, complemented by rose gold-plated trim, and is equipped with a rose gold-plated stainless steel nib, of comparable size to the TWSBI 580 nib. Like all TWSBIs, it comes with a benchmark piston ink-filling mechanism and has all detachable parts. An ink window allows you to see your remaining ink level.

While the pen cap will physically fit onto the back of the pen body in a way that would be considered ‘posting’, TWSBI recommends not doing so to avoid potentially scratching the barrel.

The TWSBI Kai is a limited edition and will not be produced ongoing.

TWSBI's belief is that it is important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen and completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. These pens also come packaged with a wrench and silicone grease. Neither of these accessories are intended to be used immediately, as they are for long-term care and maintenance. Additionally, please use extra care if you choose to disassemble the nib and feed, as the feed is very fragile.

What does the Bottom Shelf mean? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The Bottom Shelf is for an item that cannot be sold as brand new.

There will be detailed in each product description, but generally it means a product has been pre-owned and used in some fashion, or show slight signs of use or visual imperfections, including but not limited to scratches, dents, or dings. We do not rephotograph individual items when listing them on the Bottom Shelf, but the product description should describe what, if any, differences you should expect from what is pictured.

All items on the Bottom shelf will function as new.

Since we have tested every used item before putting listing it online, Bottom Shelf items are not eligible for return.
