JoWo nibs are very good, and an excellent value at their price. If you drop your pen and ruin the nib, you can replace it in about 10 seconds with a new nib assembly. **** one nib assembly off, then **** the new one on. You don't even need to remove the ink from the pen to do this. I have 3 TWSBI 580 pens, and a complete set of extra nibs (extra-fine, fine, medium, broad, and 1.1 mm stub) for them. I have used every one of these extra nibs, and all work just fine. Together with the particular nibs that came with the pens, I have 8 nibs and 11 unique combinations of nibs on 3 pens. Without the interchangeable nibs, I would have to buy 5 more pens to achieve this. The 5 extra nibs cost $150 less than 5 of the plainest 580 pens. And I'm ready to replace any ruined nib on my pens without waiting for a new one to be shipped to me. Such a deal!

The nib is smooth and puts down just the right amount of ink. I'm still relatively new to the fountain pen world, so I'm exploring different pens and nib sizes. I'm amazed at the difference between how the same size nib from different brands vary in the size of line they make. But I'm having fun learning!
