Our Goulet-exclusive Invincia design! Black Sparkle City features a black lacquered metal base, with fun sparkle and shimmer overtop throughout the cap and barrel. It is not coated, so you can feel the texture of the sparkle, making for a really beautiful and unique design!

Assembled by hand, this mid-weight pen is ergonomically balanced and is comfortable to hold, perfect for daily writing. It fills via standard international ink cartridges or converter (included).

Each special edition pen is individually numbered on the bottom of the barrel.

This fountain pen is offered with your choice of a reliable, smooth-writing German made JoWo #6 black steel nib in extra-fine, fine, medium, broad, 1.1mm stub or the new JoWo Omniflex flexible steel nib for variation in line width. With six nib options, you are sure to find a selection to fit your handwriting style.

Our note about the JoWo Omniflex nib: This flex nib will allow you to experience more bounce and softness than writing with conventional nibs. You can achieve some line variation with a little additional downward pressure, to a point. We recommend flexing the nib to about twice the line width that you would see without using any pressure. Please take care to avoid pressing too hard on the nib, as over-flexing could prevent the tines from returning fully to their original position and decrease or stop your ink flow.

Love

Love this pen, my husband got it for me for Christmas. It’s textured which is really cool. And it’s absolutely beautiful. I love the fine nib. My writing experience has been great thus far.

Great pen for the price

Well built pen, writes great. Originally started with the omni flex which was very disappointing as its not flexible. After a nib swap to a 1.1 stub, it turned into a reliable writer. The pen tends to write very wet, so it needs refilled oftendcen though it has a decent sized converter.

This is one of my favorite pens with which to write. I have an EF nib and it writes so smooth. The ink flow is on the heavier side of normal. The weight is excellent and balance is perfect in the hand. The texture gives you a solid grip when writing. The cap posts securely and does not throw off the balance.

Fun and flamboyant

Ordered this with the omniflex nib. It is quite sparkly. The picture doesn't quite do it justice. You can feel the texture/grain which I kind of like though some might not. I am enjoying the smooth writing expericence using the gift ink that came with it. (Private Reserve, Infinity Violet)

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this pen with ink cartridges? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

This pen uses standard international ink cartridges, a common size which is available in many colors from various brands.

You can learn more about how to actually install an ink cartridge on our blog, or in this video tutorial:

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.
