I was looking for a work ink. Brian K at Goulet suggested Twsbi's Blue Black to suit my needs. This ink fit the bill well. It's a nice blue/grey shade and tends not to feather (depending on the paper). My work logbook doesn't have the best paper despite its cost of $15. The ink bleeds at the start of each line, and there's minor ghosting. The dollar store journal I use at home has no such issues. There is some slight bubbling and staining in the cartridge. This ink has become my standard choice. It drys after a few moments, has decent flow, and I love the colour. Thank you, Brian K. I'll be adding a second bottle to my next order.

I really like this ink. It is a very unique blue-black. Somewhat different from other brands, since it also has a gray tinge to it. It was sent for comparison, and I was very happy that Goulet was able to match it up for me. It is also a nice flowing wet ink. Also, easy to wash off if it gets on your hands.

TWSBI Blue-Black checks the important boxes for me. 1. It's permanent/waterproof. 2. It dries quickly. Very low smear potential. 3. An EF nib writes an EF line with it. Some inks run wider and make an F or M stroke even from an EF. TBB has better manners. Bonus: some nice shading; probably not what you'd buy it for, but something to like about it.

I am daily flabbergasted by the performance characteristics of this ink. It's truly flawless. There is minimal bleeding even on cheap paper; the flow is so smooth and there are almost never any skips; it's dry to the touch within seconds; there's practically no feathering whatsoever; at times there is almost an iridescent characteristic to the ink, and the subtle hue gradients that meander around the base color lend a delicious aesthetic the writing; and to top it all off, the vial is gorgeous sitting on my desk. I may never use another ink.

I tried the TWSBI blue-black because of curiosity about iron gall inks. I've since read that the iron gall content is quite modest, and that may explain why the ink performs much like my other excellent but inexpensive blue-blacks: Pelikan 4001 and Pilot. Those inks are great, and the TWSBI comes close, performing very nicely with good shading in a Pelikan 200 (B), the only pen I've used it in. The Pelikan ink leans toward the gray while Pilot is more blue--the TWSBI ink falls between the two. This is a perfectly good ink, and I love the bottle, but it won't displace my Pelikan or Pilot blue-blacks.
