I bought this ink to be a specialty ink, but I am using it for notes everyday, because it's a joy to write with. The ink flows very well in my Sailor MF nib, and the color is consistent, despite being well pigmented.
This ink is a beautiful true purple that has a wet and smooth flow. It shades very nicely on paper. It is interesting in that it almost has a pink-to-dark-blue (though still purple) multi shading property in large swatches and when you get it on your fingers, it stains a bright hot pink with a small amount of the blue remaining. This pink/blue separation does not show at all on the paper when writing, even with dramatically wet and dramatically dry writing pens but it may be interesting to those who may be able to understand how to utilize it in their artwork. Overall, it's my favorite purple even after trying about 5 different ones which tend to lean either too warm or far too dark for my personal taste in purple, and I think it deserves more attention, especially for those looking for a true purple that leans slightly cool.
