A good knockabout notebook

I've had this notebook for about half a year, and it's been riding along in my bag since then (through all kinds of weather, since I walk a lot). I use it for occasional notes, just here-and-there sorts of things - maybe I don't have any other good paper at a meeting, or I'm using it to sketch a rough itinerary while on a trip. It's light and thin, so it travels extremely well. The paper itself is of good quality: smooth, with no bleed-through even with wet nibs (show-through is minor to my eyes). With wet writers I occasionally get a tiny bit of feathering, but this is rare. Shading and sheen show up decently well, though this definitely isn't Tomoe River and won't show these qualities to their utmost. If you're looking to try out a fountain-pen-friendly paper for the first time, or if you just need something light so you can take quality paper with you everywhere, this is a nice choice.

My favorite new notebooks.

Great notebook. I really like the short page count. I use them as project organizing, one book per project and I don't need 100 pages.

A very affordable, fountain pen friendly notebook

At the moment I am using these notebooks as mini monthly journals and it's working well. A very affordable fountain pen friendly notebook.

Pretty Disappointed

I wanted to try these little Apica notebooks because the colors they come in a very pleasing and the price point is so hard to beat. Unfortunately that is where the advantages of this paper end. Every ink I own in every nib size (except a Kaweco EF) feathers like crazy. Because of this I lost all of the shading that some of my favorite inks give off. Also, I use a good amount of sheening inks and almost all of the sheen is lost because of how absorbent the paper is. The only reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one is because these notebooks are so cheap that it wasn't a very big loss on my end.

Great, inexpensive notebook

This notebook is fantastic. The paper gives a smooth writing experience even with a scratchy nib. Colors really pop on this paper. You can't go wrong with this notebook.
