Update from 3/30/2020

So after a bit of time I so want to love this ink! I absolutely love the color! I can live with the 'gunkyness' on the nib. The little bit of extra work it takes to clean my pen is ok with me. I figure for the permanence this ink provides, it's a small price to pay.But... what I can't live with is this ink never really 'drys'. I have had documents that have sat for a week or more and when I run my dry finger over the ink, it smears. Running a bic highlighter over the ink that has dried for a week or more and it 'bleeds'. It's not like the ink is wet, but more like the liquid has dried and the pigment that is left on the top of the page and didn't soak into said page, smears. This is with printer paper, cheap lined college ruled, and moleskine. It does it to all of these paper stock. However, it might not do this on better paper. I just feel let down! I now have a whole bottle of something I really can't use because touching what you have written ruins it. You'd think being 'bulletproof' and 'waterproof' it wouldn't do that. All well, live and learn!

Noodler's Legal Blue

I really like this ink. If you've ever seen a legal brief when sealed, the blue cover used to protect the documents is this color. It's a little bit expensive ink, but the shade of blue it presents is tasteful. It can be used in an office or for schoolwork without drawing too much misplaced criticism. Without being self conscious.

Very high spread and penetration, otherwise great

This is a relatively matte, high spread, high penetration ink that has great permanent properties. I don't consider it suitable in very broad or fat nibs such as wide, rounded stubs. However, if you use it in finger nibs or can deal with the large amount of spread in a larger, round point broad or coarse nib, then you're in good shape. The color is a very nice, matte style blue that is on the lighter side. It is reasonably bright, but will not have any of the electric qualities of something like Liberty's Elysium or Baystate Blue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
