pilot varsity

I am a FP newbie so I'm trying many of the beginner pens. This Varsity is NICE!. Smooth with good ink flow. I'm definitely going to learn how to refill this disposable pen.

Wide tip

Dispite a three rating, it could be a great pen for someone else. The quality and price are good. Here is the big but, the tip is a medium and I just do not like that wide of a tip. I purchased the Zebra fountain pen three pack disposable pens, and thier tip is finer. More to my liking. So aside from the tip, it is a good quality disposable fountain pen.

I Love Pilot Varsity Pens

I have bought many of thee pens over the years, all from Goulet Pen Co., and give most of them away to people who are interested in fountain pens. Plus, I use several at home, filled with my favorite ink (look for online videos showing how to remove the nib/feed and refill these pens). The nibs are as good as pens costing 20 times as much. The capacity is great and the ink last a very long time.

A great way to try fountain pens

I chose the Pilot Varsity Fountain pen after watching the video on you website, fountain pens for newbies. I'm an upside down writing leftie, so I didn't want to invest a lot of money in a pen I wouldn't be able to use. Well, I'm happy to say, no smears! Next, I'm going to try the Pilot Metropolitan, which was also recommended in the video. Thanks for the informative video!
