No, I'm not talking about Will Smith. This INK is gorgeously black. I use it in an old Mabie Todd and the flow is nice. I might need this in other colors!

R&K Verdigris ink review

Though I use many inks this is my go to. Its dark blue but just a bit off. A very subtle tinge of green. (It's not ball point pen blue! sorry Salix) Could be considered blue/black. Flows well in every pen I put it in. Cleans easily. Takes a few seconds to dry. Have not tried it on paper unfriendly to fountain pens. I've no clue on its water resistance. Would like a permanent variant. I like the color! Now if I could learn to like broad sized nibs my Jedi training would be complete [insert appropriate copyrights here]

Teal-blue, with some green that comes through occasionally. Works well, not too wet on my Pilot Custom 823.

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
