The Rhodia notebook is the only one that has made the cut for me for everyday writing! The price is right and it takes ink beautifully. I’m a lefty and there’s no smearing problem; my TWSBI, LAMY, OPUS88, and even Sailor nibs do just fine on the page. What pushed me to finally review it however is that my cat knocked over a full glass of water, soaking this notebook full of writing in both Diamine and Noodler’s ink. Could have been a tragedy but not even one line of ink blurred. None of my ‘higher quality’ paper books have withstood so much as a single drop of water without inks feathering into unreadability or vanish altogether. Although Rhodia paper won’t particularly showcase your prettier inks, for work and school and everyday writing utility, this notebook cannot be beat.

This notebook is very nice. Great surface for fountain pens. Have written several pages worth of notes so far. No ink spread-neat and tidy. My Pilot EF loves it and floats easily. (High speed! Low Drag! as we used to say in the Army!)) Recommended highly!

These notebooks are a joy to use. The paper feels great to the touch and under the nib.

My first high quality notebook in a while - super smooth, buttery feeling writing with a TWSBI M nib. I used a Kaweco EF in here as well and even that was just gliding across the paper with a dryer ink.

The layout and paper quality are perfect for me. I use this notebook to practice writing Japanese. Once I fill it up, I'll be buying another one 100%.
