Does not behave well

It's a pretty color, but the flow was way too dry and did not work well with the (Bock) fine nib that I used.

Yup, it's green all right

Great ink and looks exactly like it should. Goes very well with my Lamy Safari and I will be buying a greater amount in the future. The sample vial is great if you are unsure.

Great Green Ink!

The ink has nice shading and dries quite quickly. Which is great for me because I am a lefty. But, some people have told me that the green looks like a 'poopy green'. So if you are looking for a more vibrant green this is not the ink you would want.

Note on Drying Times

This is an absolutely beautiful ink a true army green that looks fantastic in my TWISBI ECO. The drying time was what originally held me back from buying a full size but seeing it in my pen I don't see that much of an issue. I have the TWISBI EF which is probably why I don't find the drying time to be an issue. It works as a daily writer in my super thin nib so it doesn't place that much ink down. I would see using this ink within a thicker nib to probably be an issue but since I am not using it that way, it works perfectly for me.

Great color, long dry times

Smooth ink on the wettish side, and the color is fantastic: like a dark greenish gold, similar to RandK Alt-Goldgrun but yellower. However, the dry time of this ink is long enough on Tomoe River 68gsm and Clairfontaine that I don;t think it would be an everyday use ink. Not prohibitively long dry times, but on the longer side, definitely.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
