This oversized Sailor 1911 King of Pens fountain pen features a black/red ebonite cap and barrel, resin grip section, and gold trim. It comes equipped with Sailor's legendary 21k gold nib in the massive King of Pens size.
Tamenuri is an ancient Japanese traditional Urushi technique. ‘Kuro-beni’ is a reddish black or blackish red. In Japan it was used as a base color for expensive kosode (short-sleeved kimono) in the early Edo period. "Kuro-beni" is also cited in the novel "Yorozu no Fumi Hougu" by Ihara Saikaku, a famous writer of the Edo period.
Each fountain pen is adorned with the signature and serial number of the renowned artist Koshu Nishihara, hand-painted on each barrel, ensuring its authenticity and uniqueness. The pen is presented in a distinctive gift box, coated in black cashew on the outside, making it a perfect keepsake or gift.
This limited edition is truly exclusive, with only 120 pieces developed for the global market outside Japan. It features the prestigious King of Pen size 21k gold nib, available in Medium or Broad sizes.
