Nice Bronze Color Ink - but best used with medium or broader nib

The ink color is very close to bronze in color. There is no shimmer or sheen associated with the ink. It flows very well and dries pretty fast on paper. It did not cause any issues with clogging the pen flow or skipping. The only real complaint is that when used in a fine nib pen, the ink can be a little difficult to see on the paper. The ink itself is a little pale and the lines made can be a little difficult to see (especially if the light level is lower). A Medium or Broad Nib would lay down a much larger line and more ink - making for better viewing. All in all, I am happy with the ink. I have darker shades of brown ink, but I have a Monteverde bronze color fountain pen that I wanted to use an appropriate shade of ink with, and this ink is the closest match I found to being more of a true bronze.

Stellar color

I'm surprised at how much I like this color but it has become one of my favorites.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
