A beautiful ink

This ink leaves crisp lines, lays well on any paper, dries quickly and is beautiful on ivory colored linen/cotton blend stationery.

Love this ink

This is a very wet-writing ink. I put it in my Lamy AL-Star (Fine nib) and it was amazing. Red with enough brown in it to make it a bit (but not too) subdued, which gives me a little spark of joy when I write with it. It's the first ink I've liked well enough to go through an entire converter fill. I've had no trouble with dry time, but with a fine nib that's less likely.

Diamine Ancient Copper has become one of my favorite inks!

I'm currently using it in my F nib Montegrappa Team Fox, I think this will become my "go to" ink for this pen. It flows well, and it is a pleasant break from my usual blue, black, and green inks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
