Very beautiful

Very attractive ink, absolutely stunning after it's dried

Vivid

The inbetween blue and purple is very vivid. Doesn't do a lot of feathering and bleedthrough. Wish I could get a single bottle of this, but oh-well. Very close to the Twelfth Doctor's Tardis.

No shift

I'm not sure if I got a weird batch or what but this just looks like a classic dark blue color. I have not seen any color shifts and I've been using it for a few days on a few different types of paper. Its not bad, just not very interesting

Rich and smooth

This is my favorite blue ink. It's very wet, dries pretty slowly, and looks good on every type of paper I have used. The shading is delightful. Pics don't do it justice

Stains and isn't great

I just don't like this ink. It's not consistent about being blue or purple, but not in a cool shading way. Nope, the ink is just different in different writing sessions. There was no sheen not even in Tomoe, despite this being one of the absolute wettest inks I've ever used. I wanted it to be purple-ish, and when it leaned that way, it was pretty. But it takes ages to dry, and it stains terribly. My converter I got clean, but there are spots in my cap that might be permanently stained. And on top of that, Colorverse inks are so expensive. Very grateful for samples!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
