Get every last drop out of the bottom of your ink bottle or sample with this TWSBI Pipe extension. It attaches onto the end of your fountain pen converter for ease of filling.

The TWSBI Pipe fits most standard international converter openings, and directly onto all TWSBI Diamond series (i.e. 580 and Mini) fountain pen barrels. You may need to give it a good push to fit.

It can also fit the proprietary TWSBI Spring-Loaded converter and TWSBI Piston converter that are used for the SWIPE.

The TWSBI Pipe comes with protective orange covers on both ends; simply remove and discard these before using.

Pens and converters featured in these pictures are not included.

A little dissapointed... :\

I have literally dozens of TWSBI pens and 6 or 7 of their inkwells. Dating back to when the original 580 in rosegold was made all the way up to current day 580s and Ecos to give you an idea about build eras. They are all awesome and reliable. I have inked and let to sit TWSBI pens for up to 6 months and they are immediate, wet start writers. Just great stuff.

I got the pipe because of it's ability to hook up to the 580s meaning I now had access to all of my inks not just the ones in the wells if I didn't want to submerge the nib for filling.

But I think with the pipe, TWSBI are hoist by their own petard! The minor manufacturing improvements that they are prone to, have left them with inconsistencies in the pens creating an issue with the use of their pipe.

The problem is the pipe I received doesn't fit snuggly into the end of the pen creating a tight seal to draw a vacuum. At least not on all of my pens. Only 40% or so actually. Kind of strange since they all fit snugly on the inkwells.

I'm glad this was only $10.

Pretty efficient

Minimal spill. Didn't have to get the nib inside the bottle

Twsbi straw

Easier than syringe and blunt tip needle. Just slurp up the ink, reattach nib and write.

Great idea, not exactly foolproof

This solution for a Diamond 580-ALR is a great concept especially as I have a bunch of Goulet sample ink vials that aren't the easiest to fill with a large piston-filler pen. However, the ink flows out the pipe just as easy as it flows in. And I certainly made a bit of a mess trying to get this working the first time. I'm glad I bought it. But this is not nearly as easy as, say, using a syringe to fill a converter.
