Works well

Useless garbage. Literally.

This thing just doesn’t do the work, period. Not only is it very small and ridiculously incovenient to fill, but it also leaks severely! Which gives constant mess inside and outside a pen.
Don't go tight-fisted and buy a CON-70 instead, if your Pilot supports it. If it doesn't, your best bet is to buy a pack of cartridges once and refill them with a syringe: that will give you 12 reliable “converters” for even lower price than one single useless CON-40.

So far so good. I’ve filled it and cleaned it a few times and it’s been easy and straightforward. I did take the advice I found on Goulet’s YouTube video to help get the most ink in and it worked like a charm.

Carefully packaged, arrived when expected, works perfectly with the Pilot Metropolitan pen.

Decent converter, wish it was bigger.

My Pilot Metropolitan came with a squeeze converter that just made a mess, so I thought I'd give this a tet, and I'm glad I did. Works pretty well, but I recommend you watch Brian's video with tips for getting a full fill.

FAQs about Converters

What is a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter is a cartridge-shaped reservoir that allows you to use bottled fountain pen ink, when a cartridge would otherwise be your only option. Fountain pens that have this option are usually referred to as a cartridge/converter pen, or C/C for short.

What pens accept a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

These fountain pens all take a converter. Please check the individual product descriptions for if the pen needs a proprietary or standard converter.

You can also check out our Cartridge/Converter Compatibility Guide for general brand guidance.

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go.

How do I clean a converter pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

You can clean a converter by flushing it out with water, the same way you would use it to fill your pen, but instead of ink you’re just using water or a Pen Flush
