Call it Asparagus!

Love this color, which appears on paper as a golden olive that reminds me of asparagus. It's dark enough to be legible while being easy on the eyes. Yes on shading. Dries quickly. Could be someone's 'brand" color.

Sailor has another winnwe

Saw this ink on Instagram and just had to have it. Goulet came through and it has such beautiful shading.

Lovely ink!

I wanted to love this ink. The properties of the ink are very nice. Used it in my Sailor Stellar Black hole. I just didn't like the color. A little to brown for me. I am sure Drew Brown might really like this one!

Above expectations for the color

I researched this ink before buying and definitely wanted to see the pinkish chromatic shading for myself. The base color is a khaki to olive green color that deposits a darker olive with pink shading. It's exactly what I was looking for!

Really nice multi-dimensional shading Olive Drab Green Brown

Every display is calibrated differently so it can be tough to pick ink colors. Good thing Goulet has the samples option. I really like this one. On a several paper types this is very well behaved and has more of an olive-drab tone with the darker shading having a deeper olive-y green-brown with magenta and cyan hints. Very much earth toned. I ran this through a Lamy Safari EX-FINE and TWSBI Eco EX-FINE. I got a sample and it's definitely on my 'full bottle' list.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
